A 2.5-hour hike through living jungle to a waterfall

Deep within Guanacaste's green wilderness, La Leona waits at the end of a trail that winds through one of the region's most biodiverse corridors. Every step reveals something — a bird call, a hidden orchid, a lizard that watches you pass.
The hike requires moderate fitness and includes a river crossing with rubber boots provided. When you arrive at the base of La Leona, you'll have time to swim in the natural pool before heading back for an authentic Costa Rican lunch.
